Mom's office and my school were closed today, so we got to hang out all day in our pj's :) We had a lot of meat leftover since the Superbowl Party didn't happen, so mom cooked a lot today and froze a bunch of stuff to send to school for my dinners. I've been eating dinner at school because I go to bed so early and am usually too tired to eat by the time we get home. Not to mention that I'd rather play with mom and dad than be stuck at the table eating!
I said my first two word phrase over the weekend - I was wearing a cat bib and told daddy "My bib." Oh boy. I know "mine" and "no" all too well. Tonight in my bath, I said "octopus!" My vocabulary is certainly growing by leaps and bounds, though I think only mommy and daddy can really understand me. I ask mom for lotion ("lolo") both after my bath and if she puts lotion on her hands.
Mom tells me that we're supposed to get another 10-15 inches of snow starting tomorrow and in to Wednesday - can you believe it? Mom's office is closed again tomorrow and she's wondering if she'll be able to go in at all this week! Metro isn't running above ground and the roads really aren't cleared completely yet, so there would be no way to get there even if they were open. Hopefully my school will be open and I can go see my friends for at least a little while and let mom get some work done. I keep asking for Alana! Mom took me outside for a little while today, but I threw a random temper tantrum and we had to come back in.
Just wanted to send a quick update to let everyone know that we're still hanging in there with this weather. Mom was able to go to the grocery store tonight (she said it wasn't even that bad!), so we're in good shape. Mom found an advantage to my dairy allergy - the stores are FULLY stocked with soy milk, but sold out of every other kind of cows milk :) No shortage here!
